TAKING THE PHOTOS


Using the tips from above and the poses below you will be submitting 6 of your best un edited portrait photos.
  • you will be working in groups of 2-3 people
  • must use multiple locations, you are only allowed to turn in two photos with the same location (aka minimum of 3 location)
  • you can not share photos!
  • shoot in AV mode and raw format
  • submit through the discussion board

For the second part you will be following along with my tutorial and editing the photo of my daughter. I am not looking for an exact replica  down to the exact exposure  and warmth tone numbers on specific masks but it should look relatively similar. Use the button below to access the image

Using your Photos from model posing day(s) and your new found lightroom skills edit your best 2 photos that we took in class and take them to a totally new level with editing.
Using the google slide template below insert your photos answer the questions.

THE BIG SUMMATIVE

You will create a Google slide Doc with the following info
slide 1 - your name and title of the assignment
slide 2 -five edited photos
slide 3 - your favorite of the set with the following info on the side
  • camera settings shutter speed, aperture, iso -If using your phone you can find the info by selecting the photo and swiping up or in Lightroom
  • What did you do in Lightroom or editing to add to the story of your photo?
  • What is one thing you learned in doing this?
  • What is one thing you would do diffrent if you were going to do it again?
  • What advice would you give to someone attempting this choice?
slide 4
what grade do you think you deserve and why
technical aspect  - Clear? properly exposed? grainy? Sharp? straight?
editing - did you intentionally edit your photo to help tell the story? Coloring, cropping, how are you using dark & light areas?. are you directing the viewer's attention/eyes?
Story - Is there a narrative or intentional "vibe/feeling" to the story? Do your edits match that story? How did you use perspective and composition? Does the feeling of the final image match your intentions?
  1. What is one thing you are proud of from this photo/experience?
  2. What would you do differently next time or what advice would you give to someone starting this project?
  3. should Nelson do this assignment again next photo c? Why or why not?
