MINIMALIST POSTERS

Minimalist presentation

ASSIGNMENT PART ONE

All great designs start with brainstorming and planning. We will eventually be getting onto the computers to create our own posters but first we need some plans
1. Decide your topic - choose a book, movie, or band and you have vast knowledge of so you can tell the story.
2. Create a list of 10 of your favorite things about this subject; scenes, lyrics, quotes, how does it make you feel, what does it remind you of etc.
3. Choose three from the list above that resonate the most with you or that you think could successfully be recreated into a minimalist poster
4. Choose three ideas from above Sketch out color thumbnail poster for each (maximum 4 colors per poster)
5. Using  construction paper make a 11x17 version of each poster
6. Use this construction paper version as your 1st draft and turn it into a digital version in illustrator
